help him walk

Met a dog named nico
one year old
absolutely adorable, i want one
ran a wonderful race
passed 3 people, almost got a fourth
a friend braided my hair
another gave me pre-wrap for a headband
and now, after i’ve eaten my super burrito
i’m listening to nelly furtado
my plans for prom are falling together
and the one i fell for
has wished me goodnight

I had a dream last night.
I was laying in bed with this girl
all of a sudden her face got really close
and her mouth pressed up against mine
it wasn’t a kiss, it was like breathing together
as she giggled, i started to laugh nervously too
knowing that it felt wierd
but soon everything changed
her giggles transformed from
laugh into a maniacal cackle
and dropped in pitch until it was a man
laughing, and it echoed in my head
i tried to pull away
but i was frozen
a finger-like appendage
reached inside my mouth
the terror was consuming me
and i tried desperately to wake up
only to end up in another dream
that kept repeating:
waking up
and trying to find help
i still haven’t found it.
